General mechanic’s tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)

EQUIPMEMT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Four lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 364)

Two cotter pins (Appendix D, Item 51)

GAA grease (Appendix C, Item 28)

1.

Remove ten screws (10) and cover plate (11) from side panel (14).

2.

Remove two cotter pins (1), pins (7), and clevises (2) from lock arms (6). Discard cotter pins (1).

3.

Remove nut (12) and washer (13) from lock (3) and lock handle shank (4).

4.

Remove four nuts (9), lockwashers (8), and lock (3) from four studs (5) and side panel (14). Discard

lockwashers (8).

Install four new lockwashers (8) and nuts (9) on lock (3) and four studs (5).

3.

Install two clevises (2) on lock arms (6) with two pins (7) and new cotter pins (1).

4.

Install cover plate (11) on side panel (14) with ten screws (10).

Position lock (3) on side panel (14), four studs (5), and lock handle shank (4) and install washer (13)

and nut (12).
