Install plug (6) in passage (1).

14.

Place water pump body (5) on arbor press directly on impeller end of shaft (3).

15.

Position drive pulley (7) on shaft (3), and press pulley (7) until seated on shaft (3).

16.

Place water pump body (5) on arbor press with drive pulley (7) face down.

17.

Apply coating of liquid soap on new water pump seal (8) and position seal (8) over shaft (3) with

stainless steel surface facing up. Install seal (8) over shaft (3).

18.

Using mandrel, press water pump impeller (9) on shaft (3). Refer to table 4-8 for impeller (9) vane

clearance to pump body (5).
