Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Four lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 369)
Eight locknuts (Appendix D, Item 299)
Lockwasher (Appendix D, Item 379)
Ten locknuts (Appendix D, Item 291)
l
Battery ground cables disconnected (para. 3-126).
l
Splash shields removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Tag wires and connectors for installation.
Disconnect front light cable connector (24) from wiring harness connector (21).
Remove four nuts (26), lockwashers (25), screws (22), and wiring harness connector (21) from left
fender (23). Discard lockwashers (25).
Remove four locknuts (19) and screws (14) from right fender (13) and wiring cover (11). Discard
locknuts (19).

Remove grommet (18) from wiring cover (11).
5.
Disconnect wires (12), (15), (16), and (17) from cable assembly (20).
6.
Remove wiring cover (11) from cable assembly (20).
7.
Remove four locknuts (5) and screws (1) from left fender (2) and wiring cover (4). Discard locknuts (5).
8.
Remove grommet (7) from wiring cover (4).
9.
Disconnect wires (8), (9), (10), and (3) from cable assembly (6).
10.
Remove wiring cover (4) from cable assembly (6).
