Left and right headlamps are removed the same. Steps 11 through

13 cover the right headlamp assembly.

Disconnect connectors (11) and (12) from right headlamp (13).

Disconnect right headlamp ground connector (14) from headlamp (13).

13.

Remove screw (7), washer (8), ground wire (9), and lockwasher (10) from panel (15). Discard

lockwasher (10).

14.

Disconnect connector (16) from blackout lamp (17).

NOTE

M936/A1/A2 vehicles have only eight screws and clamps to be

removed in step 15.

15.

Remove ten locknuts (5), screws (6), and clamps (4) from vehicle (2) and cable assembly (1). Discard

locknuts (5).

b. Installation

CAUTION

Do not install wiring harness to hood retaining rod mounting

bracket screw. Movement will cause clamp to cut harness.

NOTE

M936 vehicles use only eight screws and clamps for step 1.

Route cable (1) along perimeter of grille (3), and install ten clamps (4) on vehicle (2) with screws (6)

and locknuts (5).

2.

Connect connector (16) to blackout lamp (17).

NOTE

Left and right headlamps are installed the same. Steps 3 and 4

cover the right headlamps.

3.

Connect connectors (11) and (12) on right headlamp (13).

4.

Connect connector (14) on right headlamp (13) and secure eye end of ground wire (9) to panel (15)

with new lockwasher (10), washer (8), and screw (7).
