Remove two screw-assembled lockwashers (5) and terminal cover (4) from alternator (10). Discard

screw-assembled lockwashers (5).

Remove two screws (3), lockwashers (2), and wire retaining strap (1) from alternator (10). Discard

lockwashers (2).

Remove screw (15), lockwasher (14), and wire (13) from alternator (10). Discard lockwasher (14).

Sealant must be removed before removing wires.

Remove nut (19), lockwasher (18), washer (17), and wire (16) from alternator (10). Discard

lockwasher (18).

Remove nut (6), lockwasher (7), washer (8), and wire (9) from alternator (10). Discard lockwasher (7).

Disconnect connectors (11).

NOTE

One tiedown strap is near alternator. Other two are located along

inside of right frame rail.

Remove and discard three tiedown straps (12).
