EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Inner boom removed (para. 4-195).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic. Do
not use near open flame.
NOTE
Both boom rollers are removed in the same way with boom on or
off the vehicle. This procedure applies to the bottom boom roller
with inner boom removed.
Remove six screws (3), lockwashers (4), and roller (1) from outer boom (2). Discard lockwashers (4).

Thoroughly clean exterior of boom roller (1).
2.
Remove eight screws (5), lockwashers (6), left and right mounting caps (7), and four shims (8) from
boom roller frame (9). Discard lockwashers (6).
3.
Remove two rollers (10) and roller shaft (13) from frame (9).
4.
Remove two rollers (10) from roller shaft (13).
5.
Using an arbor press, remove roller bearings (11) from two rollers (10).
6.
Remove two woodruff keys (12) from roller shaft (13). Discard woodruff keys (12).
