10-4. AXLE HOUSING COVER ASSEMBLY, AXLE NO. 3 REMOVAL/REPAIR/iNSTALLATION
(CONT).
a. Removal.
(1)
Remove screw (1) and lockwasher (2).
(2)
Remove 11 nuts (3), lockwashers (4), and
four dowel bushings (5).
(3)
Remove cover (6).
(AXLE MODEL 480 SHOWN ALL AXLES SIMILAR)
b. Disassembly.
(1) Remove pipe plug (1) and magnetic plug (2) from
cover (3).
(2) Remove retaining ring (4).
(3) Remove roller bearing (5).
(4) Remove bearing sleeve (7).
