6-15. WHEEL STUD REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
Always wear eye protection when replacing wheel studs. Severe
eye injury may result if metal chips contact eyes.
1.
Rotate spindle (3) to allow clearance for removal of stud (4) from spindle (3).
2.
Drive stud (4) from spindle (3). Discard stud (4).
1.
Align splines on stud (4) with splines in spindle (3) and install stud (4) in spindle (3).
2.
Install three flat washers (2) and hex nut (1) on stud (4).
3.
Tighten hex nut (1) until head on stud (4) seats against spindle (3).
4.
Remove and discard hex nut (1) and three flat washers (2).
