Pump and roll/drive procedures must be performed from inside cab.
Do not use
pump operator’s panel for pump and roll/drive procedures.
Failure to comply may
result in injury or death to personnel.
Due to poor driver visibility to curbside of vehicle over doghouse and cab mounted
equipment, a crew member must be seated in passenger seat when vehicle is in
motion.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment or injury or death to
personnel.
NOTE
For maximum bumper turret performance maintain 190 to 200 psi (1,310 to 1,379 kPa) on
pump discharge gauge.
Vehicle must be operated in LO gear with engine speed at 1350 rpm or greater for pump
and roll/drive operations.
1.
Put TRANSFER CASE gear selector switch to LO position (TM 9-2320-422-10).
2.
Put TANK TO PUMP switch (1) to on position.
Indicator light (2) will illuminate.
3.
Prime water pump (WP 0016).
4.
Put UNDER TRUCK NOZZLES switch (3) to on position.
Indicator light (4) will illuminate.
