WARNING

Eye protection must be worn during discharge valve internal spring

load test. Failure to do so may result in injury to personnel.

NOTE

Perform step 13 for testing new or used discharge valve internal

spring prior to assembly.

Check load on spring (4). Refer to table 15-1, Discharge Valve Wear Limits, for measurements.

Replace spring (4) if load is incorrect.
