GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

a. Removal
1. Remove four screws (11) and guard (12) from heater housing (13).
2. Remove tiedown strap (6) from heater wiring. Discard tiedown strap (6).
3. Remove nut-assembled lockwasher (2), ground lead (3), air tube (4), and elbows (1) and (5) from
heater housing (13).
4. Remove screw-assembled lockwasher (8) and wire (7) from heater component bracket (14).
5. Remove four nut-assembled lockwashers (10) and blower motor (9) from heater housing (13).

Cleaning and
Inspection
1. Inspect
blower motor (9) for dirt, grease, and carbon.
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and will not be used near open
flame. Use only in well-ventilated places. Failure to do so may
result in injury to personnel.
Compressed air source will not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). When
cleaning with compressed air, eyeshields must be worn. Failure to
wear eyeshields may result in injury to personnel.
2. Clean housing (13) surface with drycleaning solvent and dry with clean rag or compressed air.
Do not immerse in solvent.
