13-40. M1089 SUBFRAME RAIL REPLACEMENT (CONT)
a. Removal.
CAUTION
When removing bolts, continuous removal of
collars is mandatory. Failure to comply may
result in seizing of collar to bolt.
NOTE
• Left and right side subframe rails are removed
the same way. Right side shown.
• Steps (1) through (5) require the aid of an
assistant.
(1) Remove two collars (1) and bolts (2) from front lifting
bracket (3). Discard collars and bolts.
(2) Remove two collars (4) and bolts (5) from bracket (6).
Discard collars and bolts.
(3) Remove three collars (7) and bolts (8) from bracket (9).
