DIRECTIONAL CONTROL VALVE REPLACEMENT
INITIAL SETUP:
REMOVAL
WARNING
The THAAD hydraulic system operates at oil pressure up to 3,250 psi (22,409 kPa).
Never disconnect any hydraulic line or fitting without first dropping pressure to
zero. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
•
Position drain pan under directional control valve.
•
Remove cable ties as required.
•
Three directional control valves are removed the same way.
1.
Disconnect two hose quick disconnects (1) from quick disconnects (2).
2.
Remove six screws (3), washers (4), lockwashers (5), and control box cover (6) from bracket (7). Discard
lockwashers.
