INSTALLATION

1.

Install brake interlock valve (6), two new lockwashers (3), and screws (2) to bottom loading

valve (5).

NOTE

Apply thread sealing compound to threads of fittings.

2.

Install three fittings (4) to brake interlock valve (6) and connect three lines (1).

TEST

1.

With prime mover connected (refer to WP 0007 00) and brake interlock valve (6) applied, coat

fittings (4) and connections on brake interlock valve (6) with soapy water.

2.

Inspect fittings (4) and brake interlock valve (6) for leakage, indicated by bubbles.

3.

If leakage is found at fittings (4), tighten fittings.

4.

If leakage is found at plunger (7), replace brake interlock valve (6).

FOLLOW-ON TASK

Disconnect semitrailer grounding cables (WP 0007 00).
