Safety chain has an extra large link that must be installed on hook.

Install safety chain (Figure 25, Item 4) on hook (Figure 25, Item 3).

Remove pin (Figure 26, Item 7) and shackle (Figure 26, Item 8) from running gear (Figure 26, Item 1) and
trailer (Figure 26, Item 11).

9) from shackle (Figure 26, Item 8).

Remove screw (Figure 26, Item 6), locknut (Figure 26, Item 3), and link coupling (Figure 26, Item 5) from plate
(Figure 26, Item 2) on trailer (Figure 26, Item 11).

Repeat Steps (27), (28), and (29) for other side.

Install two safety chains (Figure 26, Item 4) on trailer (Figure 26, Item 11).
