STEP 7
Can rear marker light harness wire 1435 be repaired?
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.
Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a
direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
NOTE
Wire is not repairable if damage cannot be visually located or if a prior repair has already
reduced length of wire. Wire is not repairable if after repair, wire is too short to reach its
connection point.

Visually check if rear marker light harness wire 1435 can be repaired.

Visually check if wire 1435 connection at rear marker light mounting bracket is loose or damaged.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Can rear marker light harness wire 1435 be repaired?
DECISION
Repair - Repair wire 1435 or connection (WP
0055). Go to (Step 8 - Do rear marker lights operate?) to verify problem
is solved.
No Repair - Replace rear marker light harness (WP
0059). Go to (Step 8 - Do rear marker lights operate?) to verify
problem is solved.
STEP 8
Do rear marker lights operate?
1.
If removed, install cover on rear junction box (WP
0058).
2.
If removed, install lens cover and two screws (WP
0057).
3.
Ensure vehicle is returned to normal operating condition.
4.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to ON. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
5.
Have assistant turn ON lights. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
6.
Observe rear marker lights.
