•

If safety valve releases at less than 53 to 56 psi (365 to 386 kPa) perform Steps (5)

through (11).

•

If safety valve releases at 53 to 56 psi (365 to 386 kPa) no adjustment is needed.

Proceed to Follow-On Maintenance.

While holding adjustment screw (Figure 8, Item 3), loosen jam nut (Figure 8, Item 2) on safety valve (Figure

8, Item 1).

Apply sealing compound to threads of valve (Figure 8, Item 1) and install on fitting (Figure 8, Item 4).

NOTE

If safety valve can not be adjusted to release at 53 to 56 psi (365 to 386 kPa) replace valve.

Repeat Steps (3) through (7) until safety valve releases at 53 to 56 psi (365 to 386 kPa).
