Step 8.

Disconnect wiring harness (leads 1, 2, 478, and 506) from voltage

regulator. Check resistance between generator terminal A and ground,

and between generator terminal D and ground. If multimeter indicates 0 to

4 ohms on both terminals, go to step 9. If multimeter indicates more than

4 ohms on one or both terminals, replace generator. Refer to page 2-552.

Connect wiring harness to voltage regulator.
