Raise crane boom (2) until two lowe r

hinge headless straight pins (3) are clear

of cab to permit removal .

Sling boom as shown to preven t

unbalanced boom action whic h

could cause serious injury .

Use hoist with 2000 lb (908 kg )

minimum lifting capacity to pre -

vent injury to personnel an d

damage to equipment .

available, may be used for lifting .

Install sling to crane boom (2) as shown .

Attach sling to hoist of 2000 lb (908 kg )

minimum capacity and take out slack t o

support weight of crane boom .

Remove two hexagon head capscrews (4) ,

two Iockwashers (5), and nut and pi n

boom hinge pin locking plate (6) securin g

each of two upper hinge headless straigh t

pins (7) .
