Remove hexagon plain nut (6), Iockwashe r

(7), machine screw (8), and rod end bal l

bearing (9) from quadrant shaft (10) .

Remove clevis bolt (11), rod end clevis

(4), and hexagon plain nut (12) from ro d

end ball bearing (9).

Remove shouldered shaft (13) from winc h

shift fork (5) .

Remove shift fork plunger tube knob (14)

from shouldered shaft (13) .

Remove helical compression plunge r

spring (15), winch handle (16), and winc h

shift fork (5) from quadrant shaft (10) .

INSPECTION/REPAI R

Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts .

WINCH AND MANUAL CONTROL LEVE R

If quadrant shaft is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of next higher

assembly .

Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-2) which do not meet in -

spection criteria .
