Remove machine screw (4), Iockwashe r
(5), and switch stop knob (6) from rotary
switch (7) .
Remove setscrew (8), switch stop kno b
pushbutton (9), and switch stop kno b
helical compression spring (10) fro m
switch stop knob (6) .
Remove switch knob mounting nut (11) ,
rubber switch knob gasket (12), fla t
washer (13), and rotary switch (7) fro m
lens retainer (3) .
Remove lens retainer (3) from body (14) .
Remove seven machine screws (15), len s
retainer retaining plate (16), dome light
white light lens (17), white lens rubber
nonmetallic seal (18), light lens (19), an d
lens rubber gasket (20) from lens retainer
(3) .
Tag and disconnect all leads from lamp-
holder (21) and lamp holder (22).
Remove incandescent lamp (23) fro m
lamp holder (21) .
Remove two shoulder screws (24), lam p
holder (21), two nonmetallic grommet s
(25), and two Iockwashers (26) fro m
lamp mounting plate (27) .
Remove two machine screws (28), tw o
Iockwashers (29), and lamp mountin g
plate (27) from body (14) .
Remove incandescent lamp (30) fro m
lamp holder (22) .

Remove two shoulder screws (31), tw o
flat washers (32), and rubber gasket (33)
from lamp mounting plate (34) .
Remove two machine screws (35), lam p
mounting plate (34), and lamp holde r
(22) from body (14) .
Remove nonmetallic seal (36) from bod y
(14) .
Tag and disconnect electrical lead (37)
from rotary switch (7) .
Remove two machine screws (38), re -
ceptacle connector (39), and preforme d
packing (40) from body (14) .
Remove four machine screws (41), fou r
Iockwashers (42), and dome light parti-
tion (43) from lens retainer (3) .
INSPECTION/REPAI R

Inspect for broken, damaged, or missin g
parts .

If lamp mounting plate is broken, damag -
ed, or missing, repair is by replacemen t
of next higher assembly .

If body is broken or damaged, repair i s
by replacement of next higher assembly .
4
Repair is by replacement of authorize d
parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-2) which d o
not meet inspection criteria .
