GAS PARTICULATE FILTER
Gas and particulate filters must be removed and/or installed by trained personnel (FM 3-100) .
The officer in charge must specify the necessary protective clothing (TM 10-277). The officer
must also specify safety measures and decontamination procedures before filters are installe d
(FM 3-5) .
ELECTRICAL COMPONENT S
Make sure MASTER switch is OFF before repairing electrical components. Failure to observe this
warning could result in injury to personnel .
Failure to remove or disconnect the batteries before removing or installing any electrical wirin g
harness or lead may result in injury or damaged equipment .
Do not connect battery cables before activating batteries with electrolyte to avoid battery
blowup .
HYDRAULIC S
Hydraulic system is under high pressure. Make sure all hydraulic pressure is relieved befor e
removal of any tubes or fittings. Follow safety procedures to prevent injury. Wipe up spille d
hydraulic fluid .
Relieve hydraulic pressure before repairing any hydraulic system. Failure to observe this warnin g
could result in personnel injuries .
Wipe up any spilled hydraulic fluid to prevent injury to personnel .

Refer to FM 21-11, First Aid for Soldiers .
