Generator set rem oved (M577A2 only)

REMOVAL

1.

Remove two locknuts (1), screws (2), washers (3), and washers (4) from two hull lugs. Discard locknuts.

2.

Remove four screws (5), washers (6), and generator set enclosure (7) from bulkhead.

3.

Remove four cotter pins (8) from thumbscrews (9). Discard cotter pins.

4.

Remove four thumbscrews (9), washers (10), and clamps (11) from enclosure (7).

WARNING

Lifting or moving objects in excess of 70 lbs could injure you. Get an assistant or use a lifting

device to move heavy objects.

5.

Remove enclosure (7). Use lifting device and sling.
