REPLACE AN/VAS-5 DRIVER’S NIGHT VISION ENHANCER (DVE) SENSOR

SET ASSEMBLY ADAPTER — Continued

INSTALLATION

1.

Install tapered end of two pins (2) in front adapter half (3).

2.

Install two pins (6) and (9) in front adapter half (3) and back adapter half (7).

3.

Apply technical petrolatum to bore of adapter and install two new bosses (4).

4.

Install front adapter half (3) and back adapter half (7) on sensor assembly (5). Secure with two existing screws (8).

TORQUE TWO SCREWS TO 86-94 LB-IN (10-11 N·m).

5.

Install two new pads (1) into grooves around adapter .
