In combat emergency, the commander will determine if hot cannon tube procedures will be

followed.

Any cannon tube that has or has not exceeded the prescribed rate of fire, but does cause water from a

wet swab to boil, fry, or steam off when placed just forward of gas check seat is a hot cannon tube.
