1. Reconnect bulkhead-to-driver’s instrument

panel wiring harness to main light switch.

2. Place a jumper wire from socket G (lead 16)

and socket E (lead 18) of dimmer switch

connector.

3. Turn MASTER switch ON and check

headlights for operation.

4. Turn MASTER switch OFF.

Do headlights operate?

Replace dimmer switch (para 8-37).

1. Reconnect bulkhead-to-driver’s instrument

Panel wiring harness to dimmer switch.

2. Remove headlight assembly (para 8-21).

3. Place red lead of multimeters in socket B (lead

17) and black lead to ground.

4. Turn MASTER switch ON and check for

voltage.

5. Place red lead of multimeters in socket A (lead

18) and black lead to ground.

6. Check for voltage.

7. Turn MASTER switch OFF.

Is voltage present in both locations?

Replace headlight assembly (para 8-21 ).

wiring harnes (para 8-47).

Repair or replace leads 17 and/or 18 of

bulkhead-to-headlight/bilge pump
