Procedural Steps:
1.
Replace/repair transfer assembly.
2.
Record the BDAR action taken.
When mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system
using standard maintenance procedures.

FINAL DRIVE ASSEMBLY

GENERAL
The final drive assemblies transmit power from the transmission to the tracks, allowing howitzer to move.
8-10.
FINAL DRIVE, LOCKED
General Information:
Battlefield operations may result in damage that locks up final drive and prevents howitzer movement.
The damaged final
drive can be disconnected at the final drive hub to allow howitzer to be driven with one track.
Limitations:
•
Pivot capability is eliminated.
•
Speed Is reduced.
•
Steering is difficult.
Personnel/Time Required:
•
1 soldier
•
0.1 hour
Materials/Tools:
Like vehicle for recovery
