2-25. DISASSEMBLY. This paragraph gives instructions to completely disassemble the

transmission power takeoff assembly.

FRAME 1

1.

Take out six capscrews (1) and six starwashers (2).

NOTE

If power takeoff cover (3) does not come off easily, push a

scraper between power takeoff cover and gasket (4) to work

it loose.

2.

Take off power takeoff cover (3) and gasket (4). Throw away gasket.

3.

Take out poppet retainer (5).

4.

Turn power takeoff assembly (6) on its side and take out poppet spring (7) and

ball (8).
