Check for piston pin end clearance by cocking connecting rod and shifting pin in bushings.
NOTE
Clean piston surface around piston pin replacer before measuring replacer leakage.

Check each piston pin replacer for proper sealing with vacuum gage tester (Figure 11, Item 23). Place
suction cup over replacer and hand operate lever to pull a vacuum of 10.0 inches (254 mm) of mercury
on gage. A drop of more than 5.0 inches (127 mm) of mercury in gage reading over 10 seconds
indicates air leakage at replacer.
