CAUTION
Use care not to damage piston or bushings during removal of piston pin replacers.
3.
Punch a hole through center of one piston pin replacer (Figure 3, Item 16) and pry piston pin replacer from
piston (Figure 3, Item 10). Discard replacer.
4.
Remove piston pin (Figure 3, Item 17) and connecting rod assembly (Figure 3, Item 18) from piston
(Figure 3, Item 10).
5.
Drive remaining piston pin replacer (Figure 3, Item 16) out from inside. Discard replacer.
CAUTION
Do not remove bushings in piston or connecting rod. These parts are not serviced.
6.
Repeat Steps 1–5 for remaining piston and connecting rod assemblies (Figure 1, Item 8).
