M3 CROP LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Section I. LUBRICATION REQUIREMENTS

J-1.

SCOPE.

This appendix gives lubrication requirements for the Container Roll-In/Out Platform (CROP) M3, which is the

.responsibility of the operator/crew.

J-2.

GENERAL LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS.

a.

Intervals.

Intervals are based on normal operation. Change the interval if lubricants are contami-

nated or if operating the M3 CROP under adverse operating conditions. Intervals are based on time.

b.

Lubricate After Fording.

If fording occurs, lubricate all fittings below fording depth.

c.

Localized Views.

A reference to the appropriate localized view is given after all lubrication

entries.

d.

Warranty Hard Time Statement.

For equipment under manufacturer's warranty, hard time

intervals shall be followed. Intervals shall be shortened if lubricants are known to be contaminated.

e.

Lubrication Interval Symbols.

The following lubrication interval symbol is used: S- Semian-

nually.
