Forget about the wears trip in TM 9±

not stockeD.
If you need a wears trip ´or the older
brush guard, NSN 2510±00µ134³4639,
TM-2 l l/TM±260±Series .²³
try your can po¶· Otherwise, make it
from a piece of scrap heater hose aboUt
4 inches long. SLit the hose down one
side and put the hose over the brush
guard. ¸se the nut and bolt from the
oLd wearstrip to hold the new one in
place.
If you have the new bru¹h guard,
NSN 2540³00³764±7979, there's no
NSN assigned to its wears trip, P /N
º1665804. You can make one, tho,
from the sidewall of a» old tire. Cut a
1 V¼-in by 5±in piece ´rom the sideWaLl.
Fasten it in place with the riveter ´rom
your No. 1 Common Tool Set.

installinÈ new seals the right way.
They can check out the poppet valves
for Leaks using the procedure on Pages

had befÊre.
The inlet and discharge on the neÂ
compressor may be oÁ the wrong side.
This means you've got to rotate the
head assembly 180 degrees.

Instructions should be packed with the compressor. I´ theyËre not, you can get
the same dope in TB43Ì0001±39±4 Ían81),Para3³8.I´yoUdon'thavethatTB,
drop a line to PS and you'll get Îhe in´o.
Those insÏructions do not tell you where to hook up the compressor±toÐ
governor air liÑe. Your old compressor may have the line going to a topÒ
mounted unloader vaLve, but your new compressor may caLl for side mounting.
