Most co¼bat vehicLes have at Least o´e grou´d strap run´i´g from the
pack to the huLL. ¶ few, Áike M60-series tanks, Have 2 grou´d cabLesÂat tHe
generator
and
starter.
THey
are
co´nected
to the powerpack quick
disconnect, but Have no grou´d strap connected to the huLL.
So iF your vehicLe is ¼issi´g a cabLe or strap, order it. The´, keep aLL of'em
tight at both e´ds.
Ãou·LL aLso Have eLectricaL probLe¼s if your Batteries are in Bad shape.
CHeck 'em out against TM 9-61Ä0-200-1Ä for Lead-acid batteries.
Åe sure youÆve got a matched set witH not more than 25 specific gravity
points or 0.5 voLt difference between batteries.

Remove the oiL sampLing vaLve From aLL M48 ã Í6Ï×series tank engiËes
before you turn them in For rebuiLd. äHe vaLves are oÌt oF stock» so tàe
engine you receive From depot probabLy wonÆt have a vaLve instaLLed. åse tÜe
ones you removed to get your engines back on the program¸ æePots wiLL add
the vaLve during rebÌiLd when vaLves becoÔe avaiLabLe.
