Be care½l. You can overpower the diode by moving it too close to bigger
sets, like an R¾¿524, operating on HIGH power.

¾o test your whip, hold it and your tester vertically. Now, move the tester
towards the antenna, watching the diode as you transmit over the radio.
Wile the diode woÆ't tell you exactly what your output is, the diode light
will give you a good idea oF your signal strength. Àe
