Íspecially around thÎ main hydraulic line and the Battery CoÏputer System
(BCS) poweÐ cable.
The hydÑaulic line runs unprotected across tHe hull in the gun well. It doesn't
stand up weÒ against a heavy ±ot. So be real careÓl when you're down there
checking the hydraulic pump ÆlÔer or the reservoir.
A
leak in that liËe causes
a big mess and wastes fluid.
The BCS power cable, on tHe oÕher hand, is protected as loËg as it runs beHind
a shield near the comÏander's intercom and around the inside of the Öurret riËg.
Lying loose on top of the deck, tho, it's no match ±r Çet. Àne busted power
cable means one useless BCS unit until the cable is re×laced.
If the cable's not behind its shield or attached to the tÄrret Wall, let your Ïech
know. Øe will reroute and secure it.
Your best bet, of course, is to treat all cables and lines as if they were sore
toes. SÖay oÙ them!
