Cut a piece of tUbing 3/8-in long.

Make sure the tubing is cut square±
Cut 3/8-in

tubing
Put the TUbing over the hexagon

vent nut, and push iT tightly against
tHe valve±
SHrink the tubing with a heat gun,

using a Lighter or match´
Poke a hole in the Tubing with the
hot wireµ Be sure the tUbing hole lines
up with a hole in the vent nutµ

sºri»k TUbinG anD vent ¼t holes, across
the top of the nut anD tUbing, and back
thrU ¶he seal¹
Crimp the lead seaL tIghtly arounD
the wIre wit½ a pair oF pliers¹ ¾eave
about 1/4 To 3/8 inch of wire on the
seaL anD ¶ri¿ oÀ the restÁ
Âhe Ãre ÄEXtinguisher is gooD-to-go
now, anD the worDs ÅOÂ RÆAÇY

or A V¾B chassis is equippeD with a
hyDraulic brake line quick disconnect,
check it! Éf it's not seated Êlly, you
coulD Ënd yourself witH no brakes!
Âo connect The quick Disconnect, you
push it on anD Ìist the collar clockwise
until it stops´ Âhen liÍ the collar anD
twist some more´ When you let go, the
collar sHould snap bacÎ Into place±
Éf you don't do the liͲand²twist bit,
the disconnect can work loose±
You'lÏ have braKes the Ërst Ðw tiÑes
you press on the brake peDal± Sooner
or later, tho, the Disconnect works loose ±±± anD no brakes!
Âo double²check that the disconnect is locÒed properly, grasp the brake line
and move it back anD

Éf tHe Disconnect backs oÓ, twist-and²liÍ anD make
sure the collar drops±
