Just Oil, No Air PleasE
When you add recoil oil to aNy
towed howitzer or
the
M 109 SP
howitzer, be sure to purge the m3 oil
pu±p of air fIrst. ²f you don't, aIr
gets In the recoil asse±bly and causes
rough recoil.
After hand Tightening the fill line
to The howItZer fill valve³ again pu±p
the M3 uNtIl no bubbles appear iN
the oil.
´ake care screwing in the fill line³
tooµ Make sure the M3 adapter is
seated right in the repleNisher fill
valveµ ²f the adapter's seated wrong¶
you can easily cross thread the fill
valveµ Result: Air is pu±ped in¶ the
fill valve leaks¶ and your howiTZer's
oN its way To DS for repairs.
Re±e±ber· ¸o air in the oil for
good recoil.
