If you ±ry ±o get by wi±h ±he old
ones, they'll slip ofF under ±ension.
Preven± ±hat disas±er by using only

new rings. Af±er you´ve installed ±he
rings and pu± ±he assemblies ±ogetHerµ
tes± the doors.
If a new ring springs off¶ eyeBall
the link end of the bell crank for
burrs or other damage. After you
take care of the damage¶ make sure
±he ring gets a good seat.

the bore evacuator retainer ringÂ
A bunch of rings have had to be
chiseled off because paint made it
iÀpossiBle to reÀove them any other
way.
• Never pain³ the tube t´reads
and the inside of the ring± Graphite
grease (GG-1) does the job there±
•Never coat oveR paint untiL the
buildup blocks the removal of ³he
evacuatorµ seals or ring. ScRape off
the old paint every time±
• Never pain³ t´e tubE with ³he
evacuator instaLled. Paint will find
every crack oR crevIce± ¶emove the
evacuator before painting. ·f you
can instaLl t´e Evacuator easily
after paintingµ you'Ll probably be
abLe to remove it just as easIly±
