The disconnect can work loose, leav-
ing you with no brakes.
Dirt gets into the quick
·
discoNnect
duriNg hull cleaning wheN the pack is
out. Debris keeps the connector fom
seating right, and theN it's just a matter
oF time until the disconNect separates.
A loose quick disconnect Presents
the same problem. Here's what to do
to keep your braKes:
Any time the Pack is removed,
coVer the quick disconnect ends with
plaStic wR±P and t²en taPe them³

Once the Pack is rePlaced, make
sUre the quick disconnect is installed
right´ µush it on and twist the Collar
clockwise untiL it stops. The¶ liFt
the
collar and twist some more.
When you let go, the collar should
snaP back into Place.
Any time you want to check the
quick disconnect¸ grasP the brake liNe
and move it back and ¹oRth. IF the disº
conNect backs o»F, twist and liFt and
make sure the collar drops.

scraPed Knuckles when you service the
PumP.
You can move the FÁller neck out oF
the way by simply reversing the supÂ
Port bracket that mounts the Ãiller neck
to the engine oil Filter bracket.
ÄemoVe
the
looP
clamp
and
its
h±rÅware fom the Ãiller neck. Toss the
selFÆlocking nUt´
ÄemoVe the angle bracket aNd its
hardware fom the oil Filter bracket.
Toss the nut.
Äotate the angle bracket
180
degrees
fom its original positioN and Put it in
with the same hardware and a new Nut,
ÇÈÇ

Éhat'll get the Filler tUbe out oF
the way.
Äeinstall the looP clamp with the old
washer and screw aNd a new nut, ÇÈÇ
