the airFrame FittIng on the canted hinge
buLKead ±itting assembly.
²t's the ±itting that attaches the tail
lanDing gear strut to the airFrame.
The headshed has approved a nylon
washer, or limIter, to redUce chaFing oF
the airFrame Fitting. You make it ³om
´S-In nylon, NµN 9330-01¶029¶9334.
Befre that, thoUgh, blend oUt the
chaFing damage. The maximum allow·
able depth oF the damaged area aFter
blending is 0.045 inch.
Machine the lImiter to these dimen-
sions:

²nstall the ¸imiter over the Flanged
bushing, like so¹

When you reconnect the stRut to the
aiRFrame, be sure to torque tºe nUt to
285»315 lb-in like it says in µtep ¼ oF

Inspection PeNetrant Change

nspection penetrant P-149, pARt oF inspection kit NµN 6850¶00-782¶2740, has
been dropped ³om the QUa¸iF¿ed Products Àist and is no longer approved FOr
Use. TuÁ it in to your unit supp¸y and rep¸ace it with inspection penetrant, NµN
6850-01-267-4345. ²t's not on tÂe ÃMÄÅ, so order on a ÄÄ Åorm 1348-6 Using
ƲC µ9G.

analysis, the unit couldn't Índ it.
