f
he hydraulic brake boosters on the M1009 CUCV are diºerent fom all other
models o³ CUCVµs. I³ you put an M1009 booster on another model CUCV, the
brakes will not work »ight.
The boosters look alike except Fr the pushrod end¼where it attaches to the
brake pedal. The housing on the M1009 booster is machined ½at, or has a 40¹
to 50¹degree bevel. It is NSN 2530¹01-154-1294.
All other modeLs use NSN 2530-01-157-3005 or 2530¾01-151-5967. The push¿
rod end has a shallower, 20-to 30-degree bevel.

I³ you're not sure which booster is on a CUCV, get a ½ashLight and Look
under the dash. Àollow the brake pedal up to where it connects to the booster
push»od on the ³irewall. Áook close at the bevel on the pushrod housingÂ
I³ the CÃCV has the wrong booster, change it, pronto!
