The threads on the M119A 1 howitzer's front fi±Ing stay eye bolt get
to² up during empLacement. Once the bolt threads are scarred, it³s
diFicult to tu² the front ´µring stays¶
We protect the boLt threads with rubber hose¶ Cut oF a 2-·n piece
of 3/4-in rubber hose¶ An old garden hose w¸¹ work¶ Stick the hose
over the boltº and leave »t¶ No more messed up bolts¶
