assembly.

Seven main bearing
caps (12), seven lower
bearings (15), and
seven ring dowels (16)
Take off.
Discard ring dowels.

Rear cover (4)

Crankshaft (9)
upper bearings (17),
and thrust
washers (18)
a. Lift out crankshaft.
b.
Take out upper bearings and thrust
washers.
Seal (19)
Using 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver, pry
out.
Discard seal.
