TRANSMISSION SIDE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY SERVICE (Sheet 2 of 8)

REMOVAL:

Using hose clamp pliers, loosen clamp (A).

Disconnect rubber tubing (B) from oil

filler tube (C).

4. On later model transmissions, use

3/4 inch socket and extension to remove

two nuts (D) securing bracket to

transmission.

Go on to Sheet 3

On earlier model transmissions, use

9/16 inch socket to remove two screws

and lockwashers (D) securing bracket.
