12-in. Adjustable wrench

SUPPLIES:

Drip pans (suitable containers)

Pencil (Item 22, Appendix D)

Rags (Item 12, Appendix D)

Masking tape (Item 18, Appendix D)

Pipe tape (Item 19, Appendix D)

Protective caps and plugs (assorted sizes)

Preformed packing (as required)

PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES:

Zero hydraulic pressure (page 3-70.5)

Remove hold down cylinder armor (page 3-253)

REMOVAL:

NOTE

Use this procedure to replace hose assemblies “BN or “BP”. Hose assembly “BN” is

shown.

1.

Open right side grill doors (TM -10).

2.

Use adjustable wrench to hold bulkhead elbow (A) and use 15/16 inch wrench to disconnect hose assembly "BN"

(B).

3.

Use adjustable wrench to remove elbow (A) from bulkhead (C).

4.

Remove preformed packing (D) from elbow (A).

5.

Disconnect quick disconnect connector (E) from hold down cylinder hose assembly (F)

6.

Use 15/16 inch wrench to hold hose assembly "BN" (B) and use 7/8 inch wrench to remove connector (E) from

hose assembly "BN" (B).

7.

Remove preformed packing (D) from connector (E).
