Put end of handbrake cable (1) through lever assembly (2). Screw nut (3 )
on end of handbrake cable (1) .
Hook end of spring (4) on lever (2) .
Using 5/16-inch wrench, hold nut (5). Using 3/4-inch wrench, tighte n
nut (3) .
Hook end of spring (6) in hole (7) .
Hook other end of spring on adjustin g
screw (8) .
Using 5/8-inch wrench, turn in adjusting screw (8) until spring (6) ha s
tension .
Using 1 1/16-inch wrench, tighten jamnut (9) .
Using 7/16-inch wrench, screw in and tighten grease fitting (10) .

Follow-on Maintenance Action Required :
Adjust handbrake lever linkage. Refer to para 13-7 .
