Put handbrake (in cab) in brake on (up) position .
CAUTIO N
Torque reading must not be more than 100 pound-feet .
Using torque wrench with 1 1/2-inch socket, tighten slotted nut (1) to 9 0
pound-feet .
Tighten nut until cotter pin hole in output shaft (2) lines u p
with slot in nut .
Put cotter pin (3) in hole in output shaft (2) .
Using pliers, bend ends of cotter pin (3) around slotted nut (1) .

Adjust handbrake lever linkage. Refer to par a
13-7 .

Replace propeller shaft. Refer to para 10-3 .
