INSTALLATION
1.
Apply a thin coat of gasket sealant to male threads of oil sampling valve (Figure 2, Item 2).
NOTE
Perform Step (2) for M939/A1 series vehicles and Step (3) for M939A2 series vehicles.
2.
Install oil sampling valve (Figure 2, Item 2) on engine oil cooler (Figure 2, Item 1).
3.
Install oil sampling valve (Figure 2, Item 2) on engine block (Figure 2, Item 3).

END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Start engine and check for leaks. (TM 9-2320-272-20)
2.
Check oil level and add oil as necessary. (TM 9-2320-272-10)
3.
Install right splash shield. (TM 9-2320-272-10)
