INSPECTION AND REPAIR
1.
Inspect dump body for breaks, dents, cracks, and rust. If breaks, dents, cracks, and rusted-through areas are
found, repair (TM 43-0139).
2.
Clean and paint dump body as necessary (TM 43-0139).

WARNING
•
Lifting device must have a weight capacity greater than the combined weight of the dump
body. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment, injury, or death to personnel.
•
Ensure dump control lever is in the NEUTRAL position and has not moved. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
1.
Wrap two utility chains around dump body (Figure 2, Item 1) and fasten hooks over utility chains.
2.
Attach lifting device to center of utility chains.
3.
Connect two guide lines to front and rear of body (Figure 2, Item 1).
