NOTE
Do not slide more than 1 in. (25.4 mm) of return hose onto return
tube.
4.
Install pump return hose (3) on pump nozzle (1) and return tube (5) with two clamps (2).
5.
Install pump pressure hose (11) on pump adapter (14) and steering gear adapter elbow (10).
6.
Install retaining strap (4) on hoses (3) and (11) with screw (12) and nut (13).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
• Fill power steering reservoir to proper level (LO 9-2320-272-12).
• Start engine (TM 9-2320-272-10), check hoses for leaks, and steering for proper
operation.
• Install steering assist cylinder stone shield (para. 3-231).
